While visiting the Outer Banks, NC, I had the opportunity to photograph many of these amazing Brown Pelicans. The one was taking a break from plunging and feeding many fish — a well-deserved rest.
“A wonderful bird is the Pelican.
His beak can hold more than his belly can.
He can hold in his beak
Enough food for a week!
But I'll be darned if I know how the hellican?”
